Lyrics

[Verse 1]

The Minstrel Boy to the war is gone

in the ranks of death you'll find him he's come

Another sword he has gathered on

and his wild harp long behind him

[Verse 2]

Land of sun said warrior bard

though all of the world betray thee

One sword at least thy right shall guard

one faithful harp shall friend thee

[Verse 3]

The Minstrel Appear

but the poor man's chain could not bring his proud son on the door

The happy lord never spoke again

for he tore his sword at thunder

[Verse 4]

And said no chains shall fall easy

thou soul of love and bravery

Though his songs were made for the pure and free

they shall never sound till slavery

[Outro]
