RTL subtitle fixer
Hebrew and Arabic subtitles often look right in the editor but break in players: periods and question marks jump to the wrong end of the line, mixed text scrambles, and legacy files turn to gibberish. This tool repairs those issues in your .srt file — entirely in your browser.
Everything runs in your browser. Your file is never uploaded to a server.
How it works
Paste or upload your .srt
Paste subtitle text or upload a file. Legacy Hebrew/Arabic encodings (Windows-1255/1256) are detected and decoded automatically.
Review the fixes
Each repaired cue is shown side by side — before and after — with the inserted bidi marks made visible, so you can verify every change.
Download the fixed file
Download the repaired .srt (UTF-8) or copy it to the clipboard and drop it back into your editor or player.
Making the subtitles is the hard part
These tools patch finished subtitle files. If you edit in Adobe Premiere Pro, the SmartCaptions extension generates, translates and styles Hebrew, Arabic and English captions directly in your timeline.
