Work for the Night is Coming

Work while the night is

coming, work

through the morning hour.

Work while the dew is

falling, work

mid-springing flowers.

Work when the day grows

brighter,

work in the glowing

dawn. Work while the night

is coming, when

man's work is done.

Work while the night is

coming, work through the

sun and earth. Fill

brightest hour with labor,

lest come cure

untoward. Give every

parting minute

something to keep in

store. Work while the

night is coming,

when man works no

more.

Work while the night is

coming,

under the sunset sky.

While evergreens are

glowing, work or

daylight flies. Work

till the last beam fades,

then if you shine no

more. Work while the night is

darkening, when

man's work is

o'er. Work while the night is

coming, work through the

morning hour.

Work while the dew is

falling, work

mid-springing flowers.

Work when the day grows

brighter,

work in the glowing dawn.

Work while the night is

coming, when

man's work is

done
