We Are Climbing Jacob's Ladder

We are climbing Jacob's golden

ladder from earth to heaven so high,

so very high. Hallelujah.

This one thought now

makes my heart so gladder to know that we

are climbing Jacob's ladder to the sky,

to the sky. We are climbing higher-

Hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah,

hallelujah.

Jacob's bright ladder where we shall

never die. Never die, hallelujah.

I'm so happy as I journey

onward to know that we are climbing

Jacob's ladder to the sky,

to the sky. Every moment we are

drawing nearer from earth to heaven

so high, so very high, hallelujah.

Oh, what gladness makes the Savior dear

to know that we are climbing Jacob's

ladder

to the sky, to the sky. We are climbing

higher- Hallelujah, hallelujah,

hallelujah, hallelujah.

Jacob's bright ladder where we shall

never die. Never die, hallelujah.

I'm so happy as I journey onward

to know that we are climbing Jacob's

ladder

to the sky,

to the sky. Storms may gather,

yet we keep on

going from earth to heaven so high,

so very high, hallelujah. Shining rainbows

keeps the love light glowing to know

that we

are climbing Jacob's ladder to the sky,

to the sky.

We are climbing higher- Hallelujah,

hallelujah,

hallelujah, hallelujah.

Jacob's bright ladder where we shall

never die. Never die, hallelujah.

I'm so happy as I journey onward

to know that we are climbing Jacob's

ladder

to the sky,

to the sky. [upbeat music] I once

was bound in sin.

I didn't have a friend.

My feet so long had traveled on Satan's

downward road. But Jesus heard my plea

and spoke sweet peace to me.

Now I'm saved by grace

and traveling to a heavenly abode.

My Lord, and I'll follow Jesus all the

way, all the way. He tells me

that He will keep my

soul both night and day, night and day.

No matter what betide, in His love my soul

will hide, hallelujah,

and I'll follow Jesus

all the way.

[upbeat music] Sometimes old Satan tempts

me and tries to

make me doubt. He says that I am

foolish to pray and sing and shout.

But when I look to Jesus and heaven's

shining gold, the Holy Spirit fills

me. I feel it in my soul.

My Lord, and I'll follow Jesus all the

way, all the way. He tells me

that He will keep my

soul both night and day, night and day.

No matter what betide, in His love my soul

will hide, hallelujah,

and I'll follow Jesus

all the way.

[upbeat music] Oft times my heart

is burdened.

So many souls today are bound in sin

by Satan, lost on the downward way.

I'll tell you folks

that Jesus once walked this

holy way. He died to save you sinners,

so trust Him while you may.

My Lord, and I'll follow Jesus all the

way, all the way. He tells me

that He will keep my

soul both night and day, night and day.

No matter what betide, in His love my soul

will hide, hallelujah,

and I'll follow Jesus

all the way.
